“Silence That Screams”

At the centre of the composition — a child. The head is bowed, the eyes lowered, the gaze turned inward. This is not simply a portrait — it is a state of being.

The face is broken into many geometric planes. Sharp, strained colours burn: shards of red, yellow, blue and green assemble into a difficult mosaic. They recall splinters of glass, or a split world out of which a new reality is being forced together.

This is not destruction for the sake of form — it is an image of inner experience. The world around the child has fallen apart, and her face reflects that fracture.

On the head — sharp forms that recall at once a crown and a crown of thorns. They look like a flash of light or a flame, yet they carry alarm — a sign of pain where there should have been only childhood.

The ground is divided into abrupt planes of colour: blue space, yellow light, a cold line of horizon. These fields do not soothe — they widen the rift between the outer world and the child’s inner state.

The child is silent. Her lips are closed. But the whole work screams. It screams with colour. It screams with broken forms. It screams with light that breaks through the pain.

This silence is not quiet. It is the silence of a generation forced to grow up before it learned to speak. And in it sounds a question the world still has no answer to.
